Green Instead is 3,000 square feet of marketplace, office, and meeting space, designed to be a public education centre as well as business showcase. The front area is being developed as a meeting and education space where member businesses can hold workshops and seminars. In addition networking and educational sessions are planned by anchor tenant pixcode.

These sessions, plus a continuing series of sustainable art exhibits, will animate and activate the overall space, bringing interested persons inside to discover what elements of their life they can make Green Instead. As a unique venue, Green Instead will attract media attention and provide a useful marketing benefit for member-tenants. It is the intention of pixcode to invite student organization and other interested groups to tour Green Instead and use it as a resource (both physical and online) for information about green products and services.

Member tenants can breathe easier knowing that we handle many of the nit-picky details of running a physical business space: reception, alarm, and Internet access are included in the rent, and there will always be someone on-site during the hours of operation.

As a member of a team of green businesses, you will receive numerous marketing perqs as part of your business showcase package.

• The space is made highly visible by a large (30' wide x 12' high) sign that overlooks busy Spadina Avenue, traversed by over 100,000 vehicles monthly (opportunity for a major sponsor to foster the green philosophy and publicize their brand).
• This signage is supplemented by a directory of members on the north side of the building (see image).
• Green Instead will be promoted as a destination on From A Woman's Perspective on AM740's, as well as having the opportunity to market themselves in advertorial interviews on the show at a discounted rate.

Anchor tenants pixcode who will be over-seeing the development and management of the space, will also be creating this website and mini-sites for each of the member-tenants, offering an opportunity for entrepreneurs to market themselves online with a skilled team of web developers and earch . pixcode will also be serving as attendants for the space, enabling members to do business and promote themselves without needing to be physically present or having staff on-site.
